We just got a newsletter from the Fry family. We met Rod and Myra Fry first in Mexico City in 1993/4 before they were married. Since then we got to see them in Chicago, and we saw Rod briefly in Dallas last November. For quite a while Rod and Myra were involved in the Iztapalapa Bible Church, which was a church that was planted through the efforts of another Mexican church and missionaries in the area several years ago. We had a chance to do outreach in Iztapalapa along with these people, and so had a very small part in this church.

Anyway, we’ve very much appreciated the Frys on the brief occasions that we’ve had to interact, and I still think about some of the insights he shared with us back in the early 90s. And now you can get to know him too, if you like! Rod has started a blog of his own at blogspot.com. Right now he has quite a few little tidbits about Mexico and Mexican culture. (For example, did you know that Walmart is Mexico’s largest private employer?) The blog is entitled, Mexico ReFryd [sorry, link is no longer available].
