And then RadioShack…came back? Well, after my post about the demise of RadioShack in Canada, I got an email from Karin Chamberlain, who works in a RadioShack publicity agency. She sent along a press release, which you can actually read on RadioShack’s corporate website.
Now, if I understand the press release right (and if I don’t perhaps I’ll get another email!), RadioShack is on its way back. Andrew Resnick is now the managing director of RadioShack Canada. He’ll be in charge of expanding RadioShack into Canada! So, apparently, it will be baaaaaack…could be interesting!
I was also reminded that RadioShack has stores in Mexico (about 100 I think - yes, I even saw one, though I didn’t have time to go in!). So this just goes to show - you never know where RadioShack is going to show up…
