From what I can tell, Winamp takes less memory; it's quicker and less invasive overall. No doubt it can do some things Media Player can't, and vice versa. I find there are a lot of neat "plugins" that add great features to Winamp. The skins work better on my screen than the clunky Media Player skins. But there are things I still use MP for too. I guess one media player is never enough... There’s obviously on ongoing debate about which one is better, and I really haven’t compared the programs in any detail.
