Errands and Play in Mexico City

Yesterday we spent a few hours driving through this:

Mexico City traffic May 2009

But there was good reason.  First, we picked up our passports, which thankfully were ready in plenty of time for our summer travels.

Hannah, Nathanael and Nathan Poulette

Then we met with our lawyer to work on some paperwork for the renewal of our visas, so the Mexican government will let us stay past the summer.

Then we met up with the Poulette family, and visited Papalote, the children’s museum.  The picture is of Hannah, Nathanael, and Nathan Poulette playing with some sand and iron filings on magnets.

It was fun, although of course we all spent time chasing our children in various directions.  😉

But anyway it was fun and great to catch up a little with the Poulettes, however briefly.  Be sure to check out their website, and you can catch up with them too!

Driving home took a while as we wound around some streets that were not as direct as we had hoped.  But I had time to take this picture just for you:

Farmacia de Dios

It says Farmacia de Dios – yes, it’s called the Pharmacy of God.  Names like this aren’t unusual here.  Apparently their slogan is es confianza, which means it’s trust!  Well, I guess if you can’t trust God’s drugstore, what can you trust?  🙂
