I know, I often post about birthdays in the May edition of “retro”. But, of course, there is a reason.
So this year I’m just going all out. Here are some pictures from 2015 of the cakes – and piñatas!
Hannah had absolute chocolate overkill in her cake, and a giant “Hershey Kiss” for a piñata.
Nathanael had an “under the sea” theme for his cake, and a shark for a piñata.

I’ve successfully restored another album in our gallery. It was a new one when our gallery got fried, so you might not have seen it before.
It’s a collection of pictures featuring birthday cakes that Shari has made for the kids. I think we have all of them in there now, except for the cakes from this year (which are still in our Recent shots… album).
So check them out! Maybe you’ll get a new idea for your next party. 🙂
Here are a few quick clips from Hannah and Nathanael’s birthday party that took place this past Saturday in our neighbourhood. As the title suggests, there was a joint theme – hockey (Nathanael) and figure skating (Hannah). We’ll upload some pictures as soon as possible, so you can have a better look at the cakes, etc.
Thanks for all those who helped out, and those who prayed for the event – as far as we’re concerned, it was a success! We really enjoyed the time getting to know several people a bit better, and celebrating God’s gifts – our children! 🙂
By the way, you’ll see two large posters – one of a hockey player, one of a figure skater. Do you know who those people are? What you can’t see as clearly is that the posters are photo mosaics. The photo of the hockey player is made up all of pictures of Nathanael, and the photo of the figure skater is all made up of photos of Hannah. All photos were from the past year.
