A Visit to Venezuela continued . . .
January 2001

[Team song]

The team kept very busy.  During their time in Venezuela, they shared their testimonies from door to door, did street programs, youth programs, programs in schools (public and Christian), visited senior's homes, visited with people one on one, and did church services.
[Chalk art explaining the Gospel]

The goal of each program is to (1) Share the Gospel and (2) Give a challenge to the Christians.

While I was there the team took a collection of material in English, created a program, translated it and performed it (by themselves, in Spanish) in the space of 24 hours!  This was a children's program that they did in a public school.  That school was where one of the team's translators taught.

[Explaining the Gospel with balloons]

Above you can see Blake explaining the Gospel using balloons, each one representing a part of the Gospel (ie Red is for the blood of Christ, Gold is for Heaven).  This was at the school.  The room was packed with elementary age kids!  And the news gets even better - during the program in the evening, this translator gave his life to Jesus!  Praise the Lord!  Please pray for this man as he learns about the Lord through his time with the team and beyond!
