Well, the streets are busy today. <\/strong>If I were to guess, I’d say a little busier than normal. Of course, that doesn’t mean everyone is going to the same place as normal – or that they’re the same people!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

I was in a line this past week, and most people were making a valiant attempt at “healthy distancing” as we say here. I was keeping a space between myself and the person in front of me, and then I felt something – and realized that the foot<\/em> of the person behind me was touching my<\/em> foot.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

I didn’t measure, but I doubt he was at the recommended distance.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Anyway, today we continued our Old Testament survey class – online. <\/strong>It went well, although there were quite a few people missing. As usual, I learned a lot from my brothers and sisters – there was good conversation in spite of the new technological challenges. (In case you’re curious, this time we were on GoToMeeting<\/a>. Worked well – I like it.).<\/p>\n\n\n\n

We’re getting ready for tomorrow’s service – Palm Sunday!<\/strong> I’ll be leading the music time, which will be a little intimidating no doubt! But I’m looking forward to it.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

If you’ve been meeting “remotely”, I don’t know how it’s been for you. But for me it’s most certainly harder to concentrate and meditate. Is it the distractions at home (gotta do those dishes — oooo! a toy!<\/em>)? Perhaps a lack of accountability, since you can get up and leave any time you want? Perhaps something else is missing – simply being in the presence of other believers?<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In spite of the challenge, it is a special blessing to get together with the church and fellowship a little, pray, worship, and learn together. <\/strong>So we’re looking forward to it! And I think I speak for most of our church.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Next week we’ll be continuing our Hermeneutics class, Lord willing. And we’re trying to plan some special things for Resurrection Sunday! We’re also going to have a Good Friday service. So we’re looking forward to a very special weekend.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

I hope you have a great week, learning anew about Christ’s great sacrifice and triumphant resurrection!<\/p>\n\n\n\n
