So, in answer to the question, things are going well! \ud83d\ude42 <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>We enjoyed having an old friend from Jes\u00fas Mar\u00eda come and preach (Oscar Luna), and we really appreciated his visit. He joined us in our series on Deuteronomy, taking us through <a data-jzz-gui-player=\"true\" href=\"https:\/\/www.biblegateway.com\/passage\/?search=Deuteronomy%207&amp;version=LSB\">Deuteronomy 7<\/a>. Oscar preaches in Jes\u00fas Mar\u00eda along with Rod.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>When Nathanael and his friends were here, we went up to Jes\u00fas Mar\u00eda for their regular youth event (yes, if you&#8217;ve been here, you know you go &#8220;up&#8221; to Jes\u00fas Mar\u00eda &#8211; kind of like going <a data-jzz-gui-player=\"true\" href=\"https:\/\/www.biblegateway.com\/quicksearch\/?quicksearch=%22up+to+Jerusalem%22&amp;version=LSB\">&#8220;up to Jerusalem&#8221;<\/a>). There was a good group there enjoying some games and then learning about the book of Judges. Here&#8217;s a little volleyball:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image aligncenter size-full\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"500\" height=\"295\" src=\"https:\/\/cottrillcompass.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/04\/volleyball-jesusmaria.jpg\" alt=\"Volleyball at the Path of Life Bible Church Jes\u00fas Mar\u00eda\" class=\"wp-image-11880\" srcset=\"https:\/\/cottrillcompass.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/04\/volleyball-jesusmaria.jpg 500w, https:\/\/cottrillcompass.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/04\/volleyball-jesusmaria-300x177.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 500px) 100vw, 500px\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:33px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p>That morning we also went with a group from the church to the hospital for some evangelism. Our church goes too, but they go on a different day, so usually we don&#8217;t see each other.
