{"id":1355,"date":"2011-01-16T14:33:06","date_gmt":"2011-01-16T20:33:06","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/cottrillcompass.com\/blog\/?p=1355"},"modified":"2011-01-16T14:34:45","modified_gmt":"2011-01-16T20:34:45","slug":"overflowing","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/cottrillcompass.com\/blog\/2011\/overflowing.html","title":{"rendered":"Overflowing"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>It was a full service this morning, with over 50 people if we counted right. &nbsp;We reorganized everyone to find places for people to sit, looked for more stools, had people outside (as usual). &nbsp;I think there were 17 children crammed into that tiny room for Sunday school.<\/p>\n<p>There were new people, but there were also quite a few away (including Shari and Nathanael &#8211; who is still recovering from being sick).<br \/><center><\/p>\n<table cellpadding=\"5\">\n<tr>\n<td><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/cottrillcompass.com\/images\/full1.jpg\" width=\"240\" height=\"240\" border=\"0\" alt=\"Full at Iglesia B\u00c3\u00adblica Sendero de Vida Jes\u00c3\u00bas Mar\u00c3\u00ada\" \/><\/td>\n<td><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/cottrillcompass.com\/images\/full2.jpg\" width=\"240\" height=\"240\" border=\"0\" alt=\"Still full at Sendero de Vida Jes\u00c3\u00bas Mar\u00c3\u00ada\" \/><\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<\/table>\n<p><\/center>We read from Mark chapter 1 this morning (Jos&eacute; was preaching), all about the fame of Jesus spreading, and more and more crowds coming. &nbsp;Why did they come? &nbsp;Oh, they probably had various motives, of course. &nbsp;Some good, some bad &#8211; probably all mixed.<\/p>\n<p>What did Jesus do?&nbsp;&nbsp;Well, He had compassion on them. &nbsp;And sometimes he drew them with God&#8217;s Word (Mat 11:28-30; Mark 10:14).&nbsp;&nbsp;And sometimes he <i>chased them away<\/i> with God&#8217;s Word (John 6:60-66).<\/p>\n<p>May God continue to work in each of our hearts as He sees fit.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>It was a full service this morning, with over 50 people if we counted right. &nbsp;We reorganized everyone to find places for people to sit, looked for more stools, had people outside (as usual). &nbsp;I think there were 17 children crammed into that tiny room for Sunday school.
