Last night I was reading some Scriptures that talk about our responsibility to lead a holy life.  You know, some days we seem to need a sharp reminder from God that we need to get our act together.  Other days, we need to be reminded that it’s the strength of God within us that changes us.<\/p>\n

One of the passages I read was from Paul’s letter to the church in Ephesus, specifically Eph 3:14-21<\/a>.  It’s a wonderful, positive perspective.  It’s about love, wonder, and holiness.<\/p>\n

Just look at what God has – things that give us strength.  The passage talks about the riches of His glory<\/b>, His Spirit<\/b>, the Lord Jesus<\/b> Himself, His love<\/b>, the fullness of God<\/b>.  Paul seems almost at a loss for words to explain the mystery that becomes a reality in our everyday lives.<\/p>\n

In this letter, Paul shows that our everyday lives – our struggles big and small – are connected to an eternal purpose, and an eternal God.  When we come to Him with confidence (Eph 3:12<\/a>), we don’t just find help in our present struggle.  We find that He is able to do far more than we ask or even think – “according to the power that works in us” (Eph 3:20<\/a>).<\/p>\n

Each day as we serve the Lord, it’s amazing to remember that the work in Mexico is part of an eternal purpose.  And people as small as us have access to the power of God, who loves the people of Mexico far more than we do.  And whatever your struggles may be, large or small, there is a Person to go to that has the resources to give you strength to be holy.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
