The electric light bulb<\/b>, invented by Canadians.  Then they sold the patent to Edison.  Oops.<\/center><\/font><\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<\/table>\n

Oh sure, we all know that a Canadian<\/strong> discovered insulin<\/strong>, invented basketball<\/strong> (a youth pastor, I believe), created the Blackberry<\/strong>, and invented the telephone<\/strong> (of course 3 countries claim the multi-cultural AG Bell – Canada, USA and the UK).  And it just makes sense that a Canadian would invent the birch bark canoe<\/strong>, snow blower<\/strong>, ski-doo<\/strong> (a 15 year old invented that – figures!) and goalie mask<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

But did you know that Canadians also invented the spiral nail<\/strong>, caulking gun<\/strong>, electric oven and wheelchair<\/strong>, instant mashed potatoes<\/strong> (oops – not proud of that one!) pacemaker<\/strong>, walkie-talkie<\/strong>, and the zipper<\/strong>?<\/p>\n
