So where’s your allegiance?<\/b>  I was reminded of allegiances today in a variety of different ways.<\/p>\n\n\n
\"Canadian<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<\/table>\n

For example, today we had a Canadian flag<\/b><\/font> raising at the school.  There’s a little courtyard at Universidad Internacional where there are flags from various parts of the school.  That’s where the Mexican dancing<\/a> was, actually.  There’s a Mexican flag, a Spanish flag, an American flag, and so on.  There used to be<\/i> a Canadian flag, but since I’ve been at school it’s been mysteriously missing (I heard something about it being "cleaned", so I’m not sure what that’s all about.<\/p>\n

Anyway, if I got the story right, someone got a new flag for the school, so they were calling all Canadians to come for the raising of the flag.  Hence the photo.<\/p>\n

Of course, as a Canadian I have an allegiance to Canada.  As a resident of Mexico, I have an allegiance to that country as well.  But of course my first allegiance is always to the Lord Jesus and the Kingdom of Heaven.<\/p>\n

The school, of course, doesn’t have any such allegiance.  This year they decided that they were going to have classes on Good Friday<\/i>.  Can you believe that?  This is the first year they’ve done that.  The ironic thing is that they’re having classes on Good Friday and they cancelled<\/i> class for the Day of the Dead<\/a>.  I wonder what that says about the allegiance of the school?<\/p>\n

We would really appreciate your prayers over the next few days.<\/b>  It seems like we’ve had a lot of opportunities, but along with the opportunities have come extra struggles.  Things just seem to "come up" to keep us from things that are important.  It’s good to be reminded every once in a while that we’re in a battle – not for land or power, but for the truth.<\/p>\n

Please pray with us that Satan would not keep us from the things we need to do.  Pray that we would bow to God’s wisdom, and that He would give us the words to say.  Pray especially for me in my classes tomorrow and next week, that God would give special wisdom.  In one class I’m actually the only student now, and I can talk about whatever I want as long as it’s religion-related (it’s a religious vocabulary class).  Is that an invitation or what?  \ud83d\ude42<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
