So, I got the news that the children’s camp that has been running for over 60 years at Fair Glen Youth Camp<\/b> will be no more.<\/b>  I had to write that carefully, because as far as I know the camp itself will remain to exist, but not with the overnight children’s camps that it has been well known for.<\/p>\n

Fair Glen is part of Fair Havens Ministries<\/a>.  Fair Havens is a conference camp for families, a tradition that started back in the 1920s.  The first conference at the current location was in 1941.  My grandparents were involved in the camp<\/a> since the early days, and my parents and myself.  Our family went for a little retreat<\/a> too when Nathanael was just a young lad.  \ud83d\ude09<\/p>\n

Not only did my family attend the family camps, I went to the children’s camp too.  I also went up through the training program (2 years) to become a camp counsellor (in the 3rd year).  It was a great Bible-centred program, where I saw many lives changed<\/a> by the Lord.<\/p>\n

The camp will still be used for youth and family ministry along with Fair Havens.<\/b>  It will be interesting to see how the ministry continues to evolve.<\/p>\n
