{"id":6608,"date":"2014-10-20T09:59:21","date_gmt":"2014-10-20T14:59:21","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/cottrillcompass.com\/blog\/?p=6608"},"modified":"2014-10-18T21:13:02","modified_gmt":"2014-10-19T02:13:02","slug":"our-team-today-and-one-reason-why-its-so-cool","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/cottrillcompass.com\/blog\/2014\/our-team-today-and-one-reason-why-its-so-cool.html","title":{"rendered":"Our Team Today (and one reason why it&#8217;s so cool)"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Today we&#8217;re heading to the city of Pachuca, north east of Mexico City, for a meeting with our team of Camino Global missionaries.<\/p>\n<p>I&#8217;ll be sharing a bit about some of the things we talked about at <a href=\"https:\/\/cottrillcompass.com\/blog\/2014\/11-things-about-honduras-and-my-trip-there.html\">our meetings in Honduras<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>When I was in Honduras, I actually made a bit of a presentation about our team as a part of a Mexico presentation. &nbsp;As I thought about it again on the weekend, I realized again what an interesting team we have.<\/p>\n<p>We are involved in a huge number of <a href=\"https:\/\/cottrillcompass.com\/blog\/2014\/team-ministry-word-cloud.html\">very different ministries<\/a>. &nbsp;And we&#8217;re serving in three different cities, and four different locations.<\/p>\n<p>And if I estimate correctly, here&#8217;s where our team members are from&#8230;<\/p>\n<p><center><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/cottrillcompass.com\/images\/our-team-2014.png\" width=\"480\" height=\"200\" border=\"0\" alt=\"Our Team\" \/><\/center><\/p>\n<p>We&#8217;re also married and single, no children, with children, and empty-nesters. &nbsp;Our meetings are bilingual. &nbsp;We&#8217;re also multi-generational.<\/p>\n<p>So for all our faults, it is pretty cool what a variety of people we have on our team.<\/p>\n<p>And then if you add the people we&#8217;re actually working with on a local level, it gets even more interesting. &nbsp;That would bring us to a wide group of people, majority Mexican, from a variety of churches and mission agencies.<\/p>\n<p>And in this global world in which we live, that&#8217;s what teams are going to look like more and more. &nbsp;And it&#8217;s a very challenging thing, but a great thing, because <a href=\"https:\/\/www.biblegateway.com\/passage\/?search=Revelation%205%3A9-10&#038;version=ESV;NBLH\">that&#8217;s what the Church is<\/a>.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Today we&#8217;re heading to the city of Pachuca, north east of Mexico City, for a meeting with our team of Camino Global missionaries.
