{"id":679,"date":"2007-11-05T11:44:02","date_gmt":"2007-11-05T16:44:02","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/cottrillcompass.com\/blog\/2007\/emails-in-a-small-world.html"},"modified":"2007-11-05T11:44:02","modified_gmt":"2007-11-05T16:44:02","slug":"emails-in-a-small-world","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/cottrillcompass.com\/blog\/2007\/emails-in-a-small-world.html","title":{"rendered":"Emails in a small world"},"content":{"rendered":"<table width=\"185\" align=\"right\">\n<tr>\n<td><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/CottrillCompass.com\/images\/small-world.jpg\" width=\"175\" height=\"147\" hspace=\"5\" vspace=\"5\" border=\"0\" alt=\"Small world\"><\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<\/table>\n<p>You know, I got thinking this morning that the internet sure has changed our lives (yes, I&#8217;m old enough to (barely) remember the BI (<i>before internet<\/i>) days).<\/p>\n<p>Case in point? &nbsp;This morning I sat down to answer some email. &nbsp;As a result, I ended up&#8230;.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Writing a ten year old girl in the <b>USA<\/b> (<a href=\"http:\/\/www.wallawalla.org\/\">Walla Walla Washington<\/a>) who wants to be a missionary. &nbsp;She wanted me to email her and her church a story about missionary life. &nbsp;So I did.<\/li>\n<li>I wrote a new believer in <b>India<\/b>. &nbsp;He&#8217;s a new believer (from a Hindu family), so I was helping him locate Bibles in his language (<a href=\"http:\/\/www.omniglot.com\/writing\/telugu.htm\">Telugu<\/a>).<\/li>\n<li>I published <a href=\"http:\/\/www.relieve-migraine-headache.com\/lupus-headache.html\">an article about headache and Lupus<\/a> from <a href=\"http:\/\/www.asktheneurologist.com\/\">a neurologist<\/a> in <b>Israel<\/b> (<a href=\"http:\/\/www.hadassah.org.il\/english\">Hadassa University Hospital<\/a> in Jerusalem).<\/li>\n<li>I&#8217;ve been corresponding with someone from the USA living in <b>Croatia<\/b>, who recently posted some photos about <a href=\"http:\/\/mccollum.sendcroatia.org\/news\/latest\/all-saints-day---2007.html\">Day of the Dead traditions<\/a> over there.<\/li>\n<li>I wrote to someone in Saskatchewan, <b>Canada<\/b> who is wondering if their cluster headaches are connected to a tooth&nbsp;abscess.<\/li>\n<li>I connected with an MK who used to live in <b>Bolivia<\/b> and is now in the <b>USA<\/b>. &nbsp;She wrote me concerning <a href=\"http:\/\/www.missionary-blogs.com\/bolivia-missionary.html\">one of my websites<\/a> &#8211; she has a site with <a href=\"http:\/\/www.boliviabella.com\/\">lots of Bolivia info<\/a>.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>North America, Asia, Middle East, Europe&#8230; Yes, I&#8217;d say the internet has made the world a little smaller!<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>You know, I got thinking this morning that the internet sure has changed our lives (yes, I&#8217;m old enough to (barely) remember the BI (before internet) days).
