{"id":928,"date":"2009-02-22T19:23:41","date_gmt":"2009-02-23T00:23:41","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/cottrillcompass.com\/blog\/?p=928"},"modified":"2009-02-22T19:23:41","modified_gmt":"2009-02-23T00:23:41","slug":"friends-from-canada-briefly","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/cottrillcompass.com\/blog\/2009\/friends-from-canada-briefly.html","title":{"rendered":"Friends from Canada &#8211; briefly."},"content":{"rendered":"<p>It&#8217;s actually a very long story how this all happened. &nbsp;But we were hoping to have some friends visiting here in Ixtapaluca for a few days from Canada.<\/p>\n<p>In the end, the visit was shortened down to about &#8230; <\/p>\n<p>20 minutes.<\/p>\n<p>Yes, we met them at the airport in Mexico City <i>in between flights<\/i> yesterday &#8211; we walked them from one gate to another.<\/p>\n<p>Well, it was better than nothing! &nbsp;We got to see the Farrs and their two beautiful children who are growing up so fast.<\/p>\n<p>Chad returned (briefly) to Mexico city after over 15 years. &nbsp;Chad was with Shari and I in Mexico waaaay back in *gasp* 1993. &nbsp;He was the leader of our team. &nbsp;Now he&#8217;s got another team &#8211; his family. &nbsp;But this time, they&#8217;re on holidays &#8211; going to Canc&uacute;n.<\/p>\n<p>Have a great time, guys!<\/p>\n<p>Next time, come stay a little longer&#8230;<\/p>\n<p><center><a href=\"https:\/\/cottrillcompass.com\/gallery\/f\/the-farrs\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/cottrillcompass.com\/images\/farrs-in-mexico.jpg\" width=\"500\" height=\"515\" border=\"0\" alt=\"Farrs in Mexico City\"><\/a><\/center><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>It&#8217;s actually a very long story how this all happened. &nbsp;But we were hoping to have some friends visiting here in Ixtapaluca for a few days from Canada.
