And, of course, some hot <em><a href=\"https:\/\/cottrillcompass.com\/blog\/2016\/shari-made-ponche-heres-how.html\">ponche<\/a><\/em> for all at the end!<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>We were actually brand new in Jes\u00c3\u00bas Mar\u00c3\u00ada at the time. There was no church in the community (that would start in March). So the participants were made up of people from our church planting team, people from the church in Santa B\u00c3\u00a1rbara, and people that we had met through the community centre.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>We invited family and friends of our students to attend, and had a great time.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Baking classes and English classes were big, and so the music was intentionally bilingual. Shari and I did some special music, singing &#8220;Good News&#8221; by our friend <a href=\"https:\/\/www.actioninternational.org\/missionary\/Mark-and-Cheryl-Sorell\">Mark Sorell<\/a>, with one chorus translated into Spanish (one line quoted at the beginning of this post, of course!).
