This is a sermon that I preached while in Canada this past August. But here’s the catch – it’s actually a translation, pretty much word-for-word, of a sermon I preached in Mexico in April (you can hear the sermon in Spanish here).
It’s a bit of an unusual sermon for me, because it is largely quotes and allusions to Scripture, but only once do I actually mention any kind of a reference. So I’m including below a list of the Scriptures in order, in case you want to follow along.

Thanks for stopping by!
This is a sermon from our time in Canada earlier this year. I focused on James 1:17-27, but it’s really an introduction to the whole book.

A new podcast about some answers to prayer this past Saturday.
This is from the goofy nostalgia file! After visiting an old friend in Calgary (ok, he’s not old, but we have known each other awhile), I thought back to our childhood – and a performance from a variety night at our elementary school NDCA. So, just for fun (or maybe self-infliction?), here it is!
