Hannah and Nathanael were able to go to part of a kids’ club while visiting their grandparents in Saskatchewan. Here are just a few clips of the games and crafts.
Obviously the theme was "construction". One day was rainy, which is why the games you see were indoors.
Watch for Nathanael and Hannah. He’s wearing an orange shirt, Hannah has a green shirt and purple sweater.
Sorry, playing with video again. We decided to go to the Calgary Zoo with Tracy, Jevon and Ashlyn (Shari’s brother/Tracy’s husband Jeff still being away at work). So here are a few clips of our trip. Incidentally, all the kids were wearing their new official matching Looney Tunes/Mexican National Soccer Team jerseys.
We’re visiting Shari’s brother and his family (actually, Shari’s brother is away, but coming back tomorrow night). It’s the first time the cousins have seen each other in 3 years (as you can imagine, for that age it’s a looooong time!). Here’s proof that they really are together!
A dog belonging to our friends the Yinglings in San Juan del RÃo, Mexico, has a pet rock.
The Yinglings had us over at their house for a Sunday service and some pizza, and I took this brief video of their two dogs. The one, playing the his rock. The other could not understand his friend’s fascination with geology, and just wanted him to play something normal…
I have here some video of a very special service we had here in Ixtapaluca today. It was a worship service, a gathering of a church not four years old, to recognize its first elder/pastor and deacon, Martín and Miguel.
It was such a great time to focus on the Lord – what He has done, what He is doing here.
We read Acts 13:1-3, remembering how the Holy Spirit chose people for His service in the early days of the Church. We also read Romans 11:33-36, which reminds us that God truly is great beyond imagination, and at the centre of everything.
Anyway, on with the video. Some weird things about it – for one thing, I was at the front when we actually laid hands on and prayed for Martín and Laura and Miguel and Tania, so the "highlight" of the service is not in the video. Maybe I can beg a photo from someone else to show you later. For the same reason you miss some of the music (since I was playing keyboard).
And I don’t point out these two couples in the video, though I think you do see all of them. However, there’s a nice shot of Martín with a video camera, and during Rod’s closing prayer you can see both couples to his right. See some pictures of them here.
Antonio Muñoz also gave a challenging message – a great reminder of the responsibility we all have to be servants in the church – not just a few people.
I’m so thankful to be among people who are looking to the Lord and glorifying Him – that’s what it’s all about!
Hey look! The city of Monterrey, Mexico wants to host the 2020 Summer Olympics! Of course, they face some pretty fierce competition – Toronto Canada wants the games too. 😉
