Still restructuring
Yesterday I was working hard at restructuring this website. If that sounds boring to you, you’ve hit the nail on the head. It perhaps one of the most hideously boring things that I’ve ever done to this website. It has to do with changing a number here and there, creating new folders, moving files . . . not my cup of tea.
Hopefully, however, after all that work the website will be a lot easier to handle in future days, and we can concentrate on the more creative and fun aspects, which is what I like. I suppose we all must go through a little bit of tedium (is that a word?) every now and then, even in this modern age. And I hope that you can put up with a glitch here and there as we finish getting everything in order.
Look on the bright side – if this is working, there has been at least one thing accomplished!
This morning Shari and I get to concentrate on something more enjoyable. We have the opportunity to sing in church today. We’re going to sing “Trust in You”. Have you heard it? The chorus goes,
And if I trust in You I’ll find my way
You’re the only one I know
Who can lift me up on eagle’s wings
When I’ve fallen down so low
If I but trust in You
So I’d better go and get ready, and we can all move on to more creative pursuits for now!
The very very very first entry!
As I write this I’m working through the rather hideous task of updating the structure of our website. If that sounds boring to you, you’re right on – it IS boring! This is the part of this website that I like the least – changing a letter here and there and moving around folders. It’s enough to make your brain turn to bubble gum.
However, hopefully when it’s all done we’ll have things organized in a way that will make a little more sense and will be easier to handle in the long run. I guess even in this modern age we all must still do tedious tasks from time to time, so that we can move on to the more creative ones!
Tomorrow we get to exercise our creativity a little, because we get to sing in church. Should be fun. We haven’t had much opportunity to do things like that at our church, since most of the time we’re busy with VTI ministry, so it’s good to have a chance tomorrow.
Meanwhile, I shall try to get things in working order around here. Hope you’ll excuse the occasional glitch, and I’ll try to get it all cleaned up as soon as I can. Then we can all move on to more creative pursuits!
