Oh no, not AGAIN!
Guess what? We’re all sick again! What’s with that? A week or two ago I printed out a passage of Scripture for us to think about, and I didn’t realize then just how meaningful it would become:
He said to me, “My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness.” I will all the more gladly boast of my weaknesses, that the power of Christ may rest upon me.
For the sake of Christ, then, I am content with weaknesses, insults, hardships, persecutions, and calamities; for when I am weak, then I am strong. (2Cor 12:9-10)
It seems that God has been giving us the opportunity to see just how true that is! This winter we all got very sick. And now I feel even sicker (and it’s lasting longer)!
God really gave me strength yesterday. I taught adult Sunday school, and then led the service. That’s a lot to do for a healthy person! I made it through, and was even able to go and get some take out Mexican Food for Shari for Mother’s Day. (Some kind person gave us a few $ so that Shari could have a Mother’s Day meal. Cool, huh?) Then I was pretty much on my back until 8am this morning. I wish I was still on my back, but now all three of us are quite sick, so we’ll just have to share the load! Being sick all together is rather hard, because who do you call to help you? If anyone comes to help, they’ll just get sick too!
When I am weak, then I am strong, because it’s at times like this that I really know that God is working through me – I can’t do it alone!
This week we have a lot to do to prepare for our trip. We’ll probably be leaving on the 15th. We’ll try to keep you posted as things progress! Have a great day.
