Prairie Missions Conference et cetera
God provides! We got another little reminder of that today when we stopped for groceries and discovered it was “Customer Appreciation Day”. That meant another 10% off the price of the food. Praise the Lord! That 10% may not be much, but when every penny counts it’s something to be thankful for.
We enjoyed our time at the Prairie conference. Jim got to spend some time with some students and Shari was able to meet with some of our friends and supporters. Well, Jim did both and Shari did both really. Hannah did both too, with a focus on playing with the children! It was a challenge at times, especially for Shari who had an often tired kid on her hands. But over all Hannah was well behaved. She even slept in our room for a few nights, and did very well (normally she sleeps alone with the door closed, so this was quite different!).
We both returned home tired but I think that the Lord used us in some small ways while we were there. Continue to pray for the students that we met, that the Lord would continue to direct them and encourage them.
In about an hour my parents will be here for a visit, so that should be fun. They’ll be here for about a week. Then we’re off to PRBI! Remember to pray for us this week. It will be a busy one. I’m preparing for a seminar that I’m going to give at the next conference. It’s a new one so it will take a bit of time. I’ll let you know how it goes!
