Nathanael’s Dedication

Grandparents

This morning Nathanael was ‘dedicated’ at our church. For us, a dedication is just a chance for everyone at church to pray for him, and a reminder to us that he really belongs to God, and that we’re entrusted with him for a short time.

Thanks to all of you who were there to share the moment with us, church friends and others. We were happy to have quite a bit of family there – an unusual event. Both sets of grandparents came, and also Nathanael’s aunt, uncle and cousin. Some of you that couldn’t come sent along your prayers also – thanks! It’s good to know you were here in spirit, and a great encouragement to us.

We had the family over in the afternoon and enjoyed the fine cuisine of China (with a bit of a western flair, no doubt). Tomorrow the grandparents leave and we once again will have to wash our own dishes and entertain our own children. Thanks for coming!
