Pilgrims on the road…
We’ve been two days on the road thus far, and things are going pretty well. God has blessed us with some great visits with friends (although there were many others that we wanted to see but didn’t have the chance to see). So far, Hannah and Nathanael have done very well in the van, and we’ve had good travel times. Tuesday was actually one of the longest days of our trip, so it was good that we got it over with early.
I wrote my exam on Wednesday, and no, I don’t know how I did, but I think it will be somewhere above 50% and below 100%, so that’s good. On Wednesday afternoon, we ate at the Pilgrim Restaurant in Caronport one last time…
Yes, that’s a sight that few of you will see again. In about a week’s time, the famous Pilgrim Restaurant will be closing its doors forever. But we enjoyed a fabulous meal, as usual. I had loaded potato skins and a Coke float with chocolate ice cream (really, you oughtta try it). I’ll miss the Pilgrim – I used to work there, as a waiter, a dishwasher and a custodian. Not all at the same time.
Now we’re enjoying some time in Estevan before heading on to Manitoba for the weekend. Thanks for your prayers! We’re doing well, but we are very tired right now (which is not the fault of any of our very hospitable friends) and Nathanael has been a little sick the last day or two. Other than that, things are going great. Talk to you later!
