In Pachuca
We’re in Pachuca! Today we’re staying with the field directors, Jim and Cheryl Eberline. As you can imagine, it’s a bit of a challenge having a Jim and Jim and Shari and Cheryl. But other than that we’re making out ok.
You see in the picture I took here a typical traffic scene. We’ve been doing quite a bit of travelling, either with friends or in a bus or on the Metro. Today we’re going to be seeing someone we met at our English classes in Querétaro. His name is Victor, and his Mom will be coming as well (I haven’t met her yet). We’ll be able to introduce them to some people here in the area. Victor lives in Pachuca.
Tomorrow we’ll be heading by bus to Cuernavaca, about 144km (89mi) away as the crow flies. But it will take us all afternoon, we need to take two busses. Cuernavaca will be our first home in Mexico (how romantic!), so we’re looking forward to meeting some people there and seeing the city.
Those unexperienced in Canada may be surprised to hear it’s been rather chilly here today, but it’s starting to warm up. I do still have a sweater on in the late afternoon, but of course I’m inside and not in the sun. But it should be several degrees warmer in Cuernavaca. Not that we’re not enjoying our time with the Eberlines, of course!
I’m sure it goes without saying this late in my entry here, but Shari did arrive safely, and we enjoyed some time with Rollie and JoAnn Smith. We just left there yesterday, after enjoying some time at their church.
Anyway, I keep telling myself I’m not going to say too much, but share more after we get home! So I’ll stop here and carry on with my day. Later!

Been checking the blog every day since the last one from the airport the day Shari flew down. Good to hear a bit of what’s happening. I’m going to check out the two places named, on the map.
