Internet book search

Did you know that you can search inside books using Google?  Of course you knew, I told you back in October!  Now you may have seen book results come up in your search, if you start your search with the word “book” (for example, book Mexico cities).

Did you click the link?  Neat, huh?  You can click on one of the book links and actually see the page of the book.  But my search only gave me three results.  What if I want to search only books?  Gary Price from Search Engine Watch provides a simple way to do it.

Type the following into your browser address bar, and add the search term you want:

http://print.google.com/print?q=

Ok, so let’s try it.  http://print.google.com/print?q=Mexico cities  There you are!  How handy is that?  If you’re looking for a good book that covers a specific topic, now you have a better way to find it, and a better way to see if it really has the type of material you want.

Try a few other searches!  http://print.google.com/print?q=Coca-Cola, or how about http://print.google.com/print?q=Cottrill.

And now you know. 😎
