Let’s get Canadian
Here’s an interesting site, or group of sites, for those interested in history, particularly Canadian history. Northern Blue Publishing puts out the site, and about all I know about them is their name. [Edit – this company had to shut down their site. First we have the Today in Canadian History page. I learned that Henry Hudson first entered what is now known as Hudson Bay on this day in 1610. There’s also birthday headlines, and a quote of the day. Today’s quote comes from Jack L. Warner, a producer of movies such as Casablanca and My Fair Lady (yes, the co-founder of Warner Brothers Studios was born in London, Ontario). Jack said to Albert Einstein,”I have a theory of relatives too. Don’t hire ’em.“
