Several months ago I was asked an interesting question during a presentation about our ministry. The basic idea was, what qualifications do you both have to do this work in Mexico?
Well, I thought of various ways that God has prepared us for the ministry ahead, and I thought about the training we’re still doing. It’s certainly important to be prepared. But as I thought more about it, I realized that it really comes down to one thing. Has God called us to this ministry, or not?
Of course, I believe that He has. But this is in some ways a tricky concept, even though it’s important. What does it mean to be “called”? Is it really all that important? Why?
