Unreached peoples of the tsunami

One of the sobering things about last month’s tsunami was that it hit many groups of people who had little access to the Gospel.  Paul Hattaway from Asia Harvest has suggested that entire people groups may have been wiped out.

We’re used to thinking of the vast numbers of unreached in Mexico, although there are certainly many small people groups in the country.  I often think of the urgency of reaching this generation of Mexicans with God’s love.  But the tsunami once again reminds us that “this generation” may be gone a lot sooner than we think.

I pray that people in Asia will be reached as a result of God’s love being shown in the midst of this tragedy.  May we all remember that our lives are just a vapour – but with the Lord we can share an eternity with those who need to hear.

My life it just a vapor
It vanishes away
Like the lilies of the field
I am here for just a day
And Jesus, I’m so grateful
For what you’ve done for me
My life is just a vapour
But with you eternity
