Parties and Studies
The last few days have been full of them!
On Sunday we were at Rod’s house celebrating his birthday. Certain persons conspired to get a piñata which looked suspiciously like Rod himself.
You can imagine seeing Rod’s wife and kids hitting the piñata with unusual enthusiasm… 😉
Actually, there was another party for Rod tonight – people from the church threw a tamale party after this evening’s study.
Yesterday was Thanksgiving, and we were thankful to have some friends over for a fun evening. And we were reminded once again that we have a lot to be thankful for!
Oh, and our kids made these cool posters (see the bottom of this post) yesterday. Do you think they might be a little obsessed with food?
The theme of tonight’s Bible study was How can I study the Bible? (Hmmm… maybe that should be the first study, not study #39!) We talked about how to approach our study of the Bible in a way that’s useful.
This week I’m getting ready for my study/class on Thursday, helping with the kids’ school, preparing for Saturday’s study, and lest I forget – there are still visa issues to resolve! 🙂

Hmm! I think I’d like to be a missionary in Mexico! It’s just one fiesta after another!
But then there’s the visa issue. Shaking head! Shaking head!
