New Book! (Kickstarter)
There’s a new book coming out this fall (Lord willing), with devotionals and hymns for every day of the year. And it will feature – along with many other authors – my Dad (Robert Cottrill)!
Hymn scholar Chris Fenner has put together this book, and I can’t imagine how many hours of work and research it took. It features nearly 400 hymns, and looks like it will be a work of art. Yes, there is an ebook version, but it might be one of those that you’ll consider better on paper (but I won’t judge you).
Anyway, the book is on Kickstarter right now if you’d like to support the work – and get an early copy. The print copy should ship in January, all going well, and the digital copy should be out in November – plenty of time to start the new year with a daily reading. A USD pledge of $35 (plus shipping) gets you the digital and print versions if you’re in Canada or the USA.
So consider supporting this project! Other than his newspaper articles (which were published into 2019), this is the first work in print including work from my Dad since Discovering the Songs of Christmas (which is currently out of print). The sale of this new book will actually help support WordWise Bible Studies (a website with my Dad’s articles) and possibly future publications. My Dad was actually working on completing a series of books similar to Discovering the Songs of Christmas when he passed away, so I would love to see those published in the future.
So why not head over to Kickstarter now and check it out? It’s called Hymns & Devotions for Daily Worship. Note: The Kickstarter campaign ends on the 23rd of October.
