The team at the airport in Mexico City Today the group arrived from Valley Bible Church (Hercules, California, USA). How many again? 30? 40? Anyway, it’s a big team.
We would really appreciate your prayers for the next few days of events. The team will be presenting 4 concerts (Thursday, Friday, Saturday, and Sunday), and along with that will be wheelchair presentations, and more.
As you might imagine, Rod has had a lot of fun with the logistics. They are staying in 14 different houses, I believe. And so moving everyone from here to there along with instruments and chairs and risers and wheelchairs – fun!
But it’s not about all that – it’s about sharing the Gospel, encouraging believers, doing what God would have us do.
So keep us in your prayers – also remember those who haven’t been feeling well, both among the missionary families here and in the team.
Thanks for your prayers – we’ll try to keep you informed, either during the team’s visit or after!
The choir at their church in Hercules this past Sunday.
Ten years ago today we were enjoying a visit to the “Greatest Outdoor Show on Earth”, the Calgary Stampede. Taking a break from the chicks and cows and horses and rides and concerts and hotdogs, we checked out some of the children’s games, including this puzzle.
So here’s Hannah, pointing to where we lived then, and where we were to soon live.
Nathanael, on the other hand, seemed to be more interested in visiting the Cook Islands.
Today Nathanael officially graduated into the church youth group. Seems like only yesterday that Hannah had her graduation!
He had a “final project” to complete before his graduation. He had to share the gospel, using the Wordless Book, in front of the whooooole church. And as an added bonus, he practised with a friend of his in our neighbourhood, with at least one other person listening. So who knows how God might use His truth?
Congratulations, Nathanael! He did a great job in his presentation.
Here he is sharing (with his teacher holding the mic). And below that, people hanging out and eating after the morning service.
