Week 2 in Dallas
Hello everyone! Just thought I’d take this brief moment to say hello one more time from Dallas, as we continue here at CAM Center with Candidate Orientation.
So far, you’ll be glad to know, they haven’t told us to GO HOME, so that’s a good sign. Things seem to be going pretty well, and we’re meeting lots of new friends, getting together with some old friends and learning a lot. There are several people that we’ve been able to see that we met in Mexico 9 years ago, so that’s been really fun.
Last week was a lot of interviews, but this week is more learning. Learning about CAM, learning generally about ministry, so that should be good. Of course I’m not really a good one for sitting on a chair in meetings, but as long as I’m learning something it’s worth it!
We’d appreciate your continued prayers as we look ahead and continue to gather information. We’re hoping to get home and have a little more input from our church before we make too many decisions, but we need to try to ask the right questions in the mean time.
We’ve been introduced to some great Texas eatin’, but a highlight was going to an authentic Mexican restaurant last week — WOW — Taco al pastor and a manzana to drink. Yum. Wish I could bring the food back to Calgary, but I don’t think it would survive.
