Back from Provost
It’s always great to make new friends! This weekend we were able to do just that as we visited the Provost Associated Gospel Church in Provost, Alberta. My Dad is the interim pastor there, and some people there had been praying for us. So this was a great opportunity to meet the church family in person.
On Sunday I sang in the service and took the sermon time. I was also able to teach a combined Sunday School of youth and adults, which was fun.
Of course it was an added bonus to be able to spend some time with Grandma and Grandpa Cottrill. They were staying at the church manse for the weekend – a nice house that has almost no furniture. This was no problem for us – in fact, it was a bonus. As soon as the kids got out of the van (where they had been stuck for half the day) they were able to run around and around indoors without crashing into furniture, breaking china, or knocking down bookshelves. So that was fun.
Thanks so much to all of you who prayed! We’re now heading back to Calgary into another busy week. First things first, though – unpacking, laundry and dishes!
