Possible house to rent in Mexico
Today we got an email from our coworkers in Cuernavaca, Mexico. They surprised us with a house we may be able to rent. We have some more questions to ask and other things to consider, but it does look like a possibility.
They were kind enough to send us a few pictures of the inside and outside of the house. Now I copied this detail for you to see, because it caught my attention right away. Yes, it’s a paper tower holder.
Now, obviously, that’s a huge item in the house’s favour. I don’t know if you’ve ever been in a place that has no paper towel holder. The paper towel might be just sitting on the counter, where it gets all soggy and dirty, and falls over when you try to use it. Worse, there may be no place to put paper towel at all! And have you ever tried to install one of those things by yourself?
But this house apparently comes with a built in paper towel holder. I wonder if the paper towel is included? That might be worth looking into. It actually looks like a nice pattern. What do you think? Would you stick with the same paper towel, or get a new roll?
Anyway, we’re going to try to get some more information about the house. We’ll need to make a decision about this one in the next week or so. Obviously, there are some disadvantages getting a house sight unseen, but we do have people we trust looking at it for us, and there is the advantage of having something when we first arrive. And there is that little kitchen item I mentioned…
Anyway, we’ll let you know what happens. Meanwhile, if you don’t have one, get yourself a decent paper towel holder, will ya?

Jim – I feel convicted… I am ashamed to say that I am one of those people with the paper towel on the counter… we’ve just never bought a holder! :o) But you’ve motivated me to get out and buy one. And yes, you should keep that pattern, quite attractive

Dude! The fact that you can get paper towel in the country that you are moving too is a BIG plus!!! I really missed it when I lived overseas…..Seriously…praying for your details to work out exactly as they should according to the Father’s plan.

Well, exactly Angie – that’s what I think. However, we’re starting to have concerns about the colour. Of course, missionaries shouldn’t be picky. 😉
