Happy Blogoversary!
Today is Finding direction‘s 8th Blogoversary (or blogiversary… or blogaversary…)! Yes, it was actually 8 years ago today that this blog was started – then with a different name (The Cottrill Family Journal). It didn’t get it’s new name until September 2005.

Today, this blog has over 1000 posts! Wow, it adds up, doesn’t it?
To celebrate Finding direction’s 8th anniversary, I decided to do something I’ve wanted to do for a long time – I created a "best of" page.
If you look to the top of the page, you’ll see the link to the best of Finding direction. This is mainly to pull out some key posts (that are either favourites of mine or of our visitors or both) so that you can hit the highlights, especially if you’re new.
It’s funny to see how people find this site, and what posts are popular. In the last couple years, a whole lor of people found Finding direction using the search term technology’s bad side… hmmmm… what does that say about this blog?!
Another popular hit for a long time has been how to peel a pineapple. Good to knew, of course.
Anyway, go check out the best of page. And here are a few favourites that I didn’t have space to include there. Ah, the memories…
- Pay here (2008)
- 0 (zero) and 0 (zero) -part 2- (2008)
- Kids at school and vine sheets (2007)
- If I’d known, I never would have… (2007)
- Hawkers in Mexico (2005)
- The case of the missing song (2006)
- Mexico or
