Countdown to Baptisms!
Just as a reminder for us to pray, I added a little countdown timer to the right on the sidebar of this blog (if you’re reading this elsewhere, click here to see it). That’s right – it’s a countdown to the baptisms that will, Lord willing, be taking place here in Ixtapaluca!
We’re very excited to see many new believers here in Ixtapaluca obeying the Lord by being baptized. We’re going to be spending some time talking with and praying with these people over the next little while before the big day.
Please do pray for these people – some of whom already face significant opposition to their faith. Baptism can make this even more acute. Please pray that they would continue to learn and grow, and be strong, and be a good witness for the Lord in the days and years ahead.
Thanks so much for your prayers!
And Jesus came and said to them,"All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me. Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all that I have commanded you. And behold, I am with you always, to the end of the age." (Mat 28:18-20)

This is so exciting! It’s such a life-changing thing to become a Christian, with trials as well as triumph, sorrow as well as joy and so on. Yes, I will pray for these baptismal candidates and for those of you who are spending special time with them before the big day.
