Day of the Dead video

Back at the end of October I wrote a brief introduction to the Day of the Dead, an important holiday in Mexico.  Swinging by Mexico Movies, I found a link to a post at another blog, called A Gringo in Mexico.  If you take the time to download the video, you can see a bit of a Day of the Dead celebration in action.

As I mentioned in my previous post, part of the celebration involves a visit to the graveyard.  This video was taken in Oaxaca, a state in the south of Mexico.  Jack Nelson, the author of the post rightly points out regarding the Day of the Dead celebration,"it is different in every single graveyard or home that it is celebrated in. It can be peaceful, sad, joyous, drunken, whatever; the whole range of emotions."  This is a more peaceful version.
