    Hi there!
This culture is most interesting! Is Hallowe’en celebrated there as well with costumes and trick or treating?
Hope you’re all feeling much better by now. I mailed Shari’s card to Mexico, so hope it gets there!
I enjoyed the photos at the Zoo, too. You surely do a wonderful job with keeping us well informed. God bless you all!
    Love and prayers, Aunt Luella.

Yes, Hallowe’en is celebrated here too. I think it’s kind of endured with reluctance by the adults, because it’s really more of an import from the USA.

I’ve heard that some children go out in search of candy several nights in a row (for some poor children, that’s their daily meal!). Though asking for a treat is popular, the tricks are not.

Still, it’s not exactly Hallowe’en like you might see in Canada – it’s morphed and connected with the Days of the Dead – part of a larger religious holiday.
