Yes, 10 years ago today was the 4th Anniversary Service of the Path of Life Bible Church in Jesús María. Hannah (along with the rest of the youth group) presented a mime. Here they are, posing before the service (click the image for a larger version):
Ten years ago today, Nathanael was at a weekly soccer practice that was put on by the community centre in the community of Jesús María, and taught by our friend Jonathan. Apparently I was playing with video filters that day, but the noises are authentic Mexican sounds – including a nearby school band practising!
This may seem like a boring picture, taken 10 years ago today, but it really should have been a video.
10 years ago the church in the community of Jesús María didn’t have a building – they were renting the biggest place available in the neighbourhood, and were still packing it out every Sunday.
There was no place for the kids to be taught, so we would pack them into our blue van and ship them somewhere else, and then bring them back.
The van would arrive, and every door would open – even the back hatch (it’s just starting to open in the picture) – and kids would pour out!
Thank the Lord, the church now has its own building, and plenty of room for kids and teens and adults and community events and all kinds of evangelism and discipleship!
Ten years ago today we were at the wedding of our friends Isaac and Gabriela! Hannah and her friend (and ours!) Cathy were involved in the wedding, and so there were some great photo ops. 🙂
Ten years ago today was the epic cake decorating class – one of many baking classes that Shari taught at the community centre in the community of Jesús María.
