The most popular posts of 2007!
Yes, at last it’s time to find out which posts here at Finding direction were the favs in 2007. As I looked through the list, I noticed a couple of things.
First, half of them included audio and video – I guess you all like the multi-media stuff. Second (and this is a little disturbing), a lot of them were actually posts about other websites. What’s wrong, don’t you like this one? *sigh*
Anyway, here they are – the least popular first, and the winner at the end:
- After 1 week of language school – an audio post. The title really says it all – my impressions after my first week of language school! Those were the days…
- The feeder – a video post by Hannah and Nathanael about the feeder they put up in our yard.
- Wayne’s mandolin – a video by one of Shari’s classmates from the University. Playing the mandolin on a mountaintop. I bet he never thought he’d make our top 10!
- Canada Quiz – our quiz from Canada Day 2007. Take it and see how much you know about the True North strong and free…
- Poverty – some thoughts on poverty as I see it, with a song from Columbian musician and activist Juanes. I wrote another post on the topic – Poverty II, which also included a video.
- The 7 New Wonders – as the 7 New Wonders of the World were voted on, Mexico had an entry – and it was one of the winners!
- Missionary-Blogs.com – a little about my other website, featuring missionaries from all corners of the globe.
- Cottrills featured at CanadianChristianity.com – yes, we had our 15 minutes of fame already. We were featured in Mission Fields magazine and on this related website.
- Just improvise. – I don’t know if people like this post because they liked to watch me put my foot in my mouth, or because they liked the brilliant talents of Victor Borge in the video. I think it’s all about Vic.
- Dennis’ 101 things about Mexico City – this was the most popular post of the year, and one of the most popular posts of all time – and it wasn’t even mine. Ok, I wrote something about our van and the roads, but people really just wanted to get over to the Poulette family’s website to see his great list of things he’s noticed about Mexico City (many apply to us here too). I wonder if that was one of his most popular posts… Maybe my website would be more popular if I linked to his more!
