December Activities – Would You Pray?
There’s a lot coming up in the next few days, so I wanted to give an overview for those who would like to pray. Here’s what’s coming up … the ones in bold we would especially appreciate extra prayer for!:
- 9 December: In the morning, Shari and I, along with Rod Fry, will be judging a song competition in a local public school. This is a great opportunity to maintain contacts there, not to mention it should be fun!
In the evening, the English class students will continue practising for their Friday performance. Songs and Drama both – I’m in charge of the drama. - 10 December: In the morning Shari will be involved in another Amigas del Alma baking class.
In the afternoon and evening, more English class students will be practising, and I may also be practising with our worship band for Friday’s performance. - 11 December: I believe in the morning we have a meeting at Nathanael’s school.
In the evening is the BIG PERFORMANCE in Jesús María! The English class students will sing and do a drama, Shari and I will be singing a duet (a duet? go figure!), and the worship band will be performing Christmas songs (I’ll be on the keyboard). The Amigas del Alma will also be involved. This is our first big event in this neighbourhood – we would really appreciate your prayers for this event! - 12 December: Our regular worship band practice for Sunday.
- 13 December: Sunday service at the church – I’ll be playing keyboard.
- 16 December: In the morning is the last women’s event of the year at the church. It will be a breakfast outreach. Shari will be there – and I’ll make a guest appearance playing the keyboard for a women’s chorus. 😉
In the evening is Nathanael’s school Christmas program, in which he will perform! - 17 December: The last Amigas del Alma event of the year. I believe apple pie is on the menu.
- 18 December: Hannah’s school Christmas program, in which, naturally, she’ll be involved.
- 20 December: I’ll be preaching at the church.
- 21 December: In the evening is the church Christmas event.
I guess that’s enough to pray for for now! Of course there are other things going on, these are just some of the major events. We’re still hoping to go to Coro Unido, for example. But we won’t go into all that, or you won’t even finish reading this post, never mind pray!
Thanks again – now, I guess I have some work to do!
