Hockey / Figure Skating Birthday Party (video)
Here are a few quick clips from Hannah and Nathanael’s birthday party that took place this past Saturday in our neighbourhood. As the title suggests, there was a joint theme – hockey (Nathanael) and figure skating (Hannah). We’ll upload some pictures as soon as possible, so you can have a better look at the cakes, etc.
Thanks for all those who helped out, and those who prayed for the event – as far as we’re concerned, it was a success! We really enjoyed the time getting to know several people a bit better, and celebrating God’s gifts – our children! 🙂
By the way, you’ll see two large posters – one of a hockey player, one of a figure skater. Do you know who those people are? What you can’t see as clearly is that the posters are photo mosaics. The photo of the hockey player is made up all of pictures of Nathanael, and the photo of the figure skater is all made up of photos of Hannah. All photos were from the past year.
Without further ado, here’s the video – if you have further questions, feel free to comment!

My guess as to who the figure skater is – Joannie Rochette
who the hockey player is – Sidney Crosby
Am I right? Do I get a prize?

Okay after a closer inspection I am going to make another guess – Gretzky. Is there a consolation prize?

That was a very cool party! Great job! Wish we could have been there, but we could picture where it was taking place. Grandpa liked Stompin’ Tom singing…the Good Old Hockey Game! Your friends and neighbours seemed to be enjoying themselves. The hockey/skating theme was a great idea, and the cakes (and the chocolate hockey pucks) looked yummy too!
Love,

Christine: One out of two ain’t bad! And the hockey player’s face was certainly not clearly visible behind his mask! I think you should get a prize! 😉
Jim: Great job with the video! It sounded like you were enjoying the kids, who were enjoying the various activities. I think you should train someone to take over some of the videotaping so you can be included, at least for clip or two.
The photo mosaics were quite amazing! And I loved hearing the first and last songs. Very Canadian!!
I agree with the Wingers; it would have been fun to be there to share the fun. I could have tried out my small Spanish vocabulary. 😉
Mexico folks sure know how to have fiestas!

Yes, your second guess was right, Christine – #99 on Team Canada. You can kind of see the 99 if you look close. 🙂
