Be encouraged.
Here in Ixtapaluca, we have believers from a variety of backgrounds. Often on Tuesday nights (Bible study) we end up talking about things that relate to these backgrounds.
Not only that, we end up sharing testimonies about how God has worked in our lives.
There’s one thing that’s really struck me over the past few weeks. It’s very apparent that God was working in people’s lives, even when they were caught in a false religion.
For example, it seems like the Holy Spirit was teaching them things, or keeping them from things, even when they were being taught something false. Someone will say something like,"I was taught this, but it just never made sense to me…" or "I always wondered about this particular teaching…"
I write this today because so many of us have friends and family caught in the world’s lie, and we cringe knowing the things that they are being told and taught.
But guess what? God can work even in the midst of that. He can teach them even when they don’t know who He is, and when someone else is trying to feed them more lies.
God is more powerful. God is greater. Keep praying, keep sharing, don’t give up – because you don’t know what He’s doing behind the scenes.
but Jesus Christ as Lord,
with ourselves as your servants for Jesus’ sake.
For God, who said, "Let light shine out of darkness,"
has shone in our hearts
to give the light of the knowledge of the glory of God
in the face of Jesus Christ.
But we have this treasure in jars of clay,
to show that the surpassing power
belongs to God and not to us.
