The Gospel. For the First Time.
Today I went with a smaller group back downtown in Ixtapaluca to share the Gospel.
It really was a great time – again. People on benches, people in stores, people on the street – we talked to all kinds of people!
You know, it’s really interesting when you take the time to listen to people, and you find out that they really don’t know the Gospel, they don’t know what Jesus did on the cross, they don’t know about forgiveness in Christ – and then you tell them.
It’s not complicated, but think about that.
After one of my friends talked to one woman, I said to her,”Great job! Listen – that person didn’t know the Gospel. And now they do.“
Wow.
And out of all the many, many, people that we’ve talked to, almost none of them knew the Gospel. There was one man today who seemed to have some idea, but he was struggling. So we had a really great time talking with him and encouraging him.
If you want to go somewhere where people haven’t heard, I know a great place. It’s just a few minutes from our house. I’ll take you there.
There were a couple of women who want someone to come back and explain more to them, so Lord willing some will return next week.
Praise the Lord! And thanks for your prayers – for the girl on the bench – and so many others.
