In the past 48 hours or so, someone in the family has been out for lab tests or a doctor’s appointment four times. Two of those before 8am. Everyone is healthy, as far as we know so far! Just routine tests. Of course, that kind of routine can make you tired and sick! 😀
Don’t worry, it hasn’t been all bad, as we continue with ministry here in Canada. I enjoyed giving part 1 of 2000 Years of Missions this past Tuesday in Calgary. Quite a few people were kind enough to come, even though it was the day after Labour Day. Part 2 is on the 11th, so hopefully some people who missed part 1 will be out then.
Oh, by the way – if you’re in the Calgary area and you’re interested in coming on Tuesday, please do! If you would like, you can also join us for a prayer meeting before the seminar – at 6pm. If you can’t, no worries, just come at 7pm for the seminar itself.
But of course what everyone really wants to know is – how is Hannah doing? 🙂
Well, you can ask her for the real story, but she seems to be doing well. Today is day #4 of classes in grade 11 at Prairie Christian Academy, and she’s gradually getting her schedule figured out and getting used to where to go when. Lord willing we’ll be seeing her on the weekend.
So what’s coming up besides all this? Well, more errands and general work to do, yes – more doctors’ appointments. And getting Nathanael ready for school – another priority. So yes – as disjointed as all this sounds, we are indeed keeping busy in Canada.

I’ve tried to post as much as possible while in Canada, but it’s been pretty busy. Anyway, here are the posts that have interested you the most, in chronological order. The most popular in bold. Lord willing, I’ll be posting from Mexico again very soon – less than three weeks left in Canada!
Yes, today is the big day! Hannah is moving into the dorm in Three Hills. For your edification, here is an actual picture of the three hills:
We’ve been crazy busy making sure Hannah has clothes to wear and pencils to write with (and draw with!), and all that stuff. Shari is giving Hannah a hand unpacking right now.
School apparently begins on Tuesday, but we should all be going to the kick-off BBQ on Monday, Lord willing.
Thanks for your prayers for Hannah as she adjusts to the crazy activities and events and classes and people that come with her new life in Three Hills. One step at a time!
These are examples of words and phrases that we probably didn’t use after our visit to the dentist yesterday. But hey, these things have to be done!
Yes, various medical appointments continue, maybe not our favourite part of the tour, but still important.
As usual there has been a lot going on as we continue our time here in Canada. We very much enjoyed our time at Penhold Church of Hope, and also at New Hope Gospel Church in Provost. We’ve also had some time to visit with friends and family that we rarely see.
But what’s concerning us now are – the countdowns! As I write, here’s where they’re at…
Hannah starts school at Prairie Christian Academy: 1 week, 3 days
The rest of us return to Mexico: 3 weeks, 4 days
Yeah – so – we have a lot to do to get Hannah ready for school, and a lot to do to get everything done that we need to do before travelling back. We’re already starting to look at upcoming ministry in Mexico.
So, there’s lots to think about and lots to do! So I’d better get back to work. 🙂
