Trip thanksgiving
Things to be thankful for about our fall cross-continent trip
* We had fantastic travel weather
* Van trouble didn’t keep us away from any major engagements
* We were humbled by people’s sacrificial giving and love
* Safety on the road – no accidents
* Gas was cheaper than we expected. Our average price for a fill up was .749/L (to you Americans, that’s $2.36/G – not bad for here in Canada). Actually, our van did better on mileage than we expected too.
* The Lord provided financially for the trip in general
* We had some good fellowship with friends from CAM
* Hannah and Nathanael travelled very well
* We didn’t go through any major illnesses during our trip, and the sickness we did have didn’t slow us down too much
* Smooth border crossings
* Great chances to share God’s truth and love in churches and with individuals
* Chances for us all to get to know family members better
* Good times of worship and prayer with others
* The opportunity to see parts of Canada and the USA that we had never been to
* Formal and informal opportunities to learn from others
* Seeing Hannah and Nathanael grow and learn
* We enjoyed the beauty of creation as we drove
* We remembered how to find our apartment when we came home
* The opportunity to be there for friends and relatives who were sick or discouraged
* Seeing what God is doing in other ministries across North America
* We made lots of new friends
* We were able to eat Mexican food sometimes
* God was with us all the way!
